Pumpkin Carving

This is the first year where Mackenzie was really able to participate in the designing and carving of the jack-o-lanterns. She had fun drawing the design with Rob and then using the tools to carve the pumpkins but she refused to dig the "guts" of the pumpkin out.

Drawing her pumpkin face.

Getting a little help from Dad with the design process.

Carving the top off so we, meaning Mom, can scoop the insides out.

Mom and Mackenzie working together on the pumpkin.

Getting a little more help from Dad with the carving of the eyes.

I think Mackenzie's favorite part was popping the pieces of pumpkin out after they had been carved.

Olivia was not able to help us this year but she did a great job observing and learning what is in store for Halloweens to come.
