We were fortunate enough to travel to Minnesota to visit family this Thanksgiving. It was Olivia's first time flying and she did great. We were lucky that she slept on most of the flights. Mackenzie, did a great job on the planes and was able to entertain herself very well. Especially with her new
Leapster.
While we were in Minnesota we did lots of fun activities and enjoyed seeing family. My sister Christine and I hosted a baby shower for our youngest sister Angela. We
went to the
Festival of Tress, bowling, rode the four wheeler at Grandpa and Grandma's house,
visited and played with family and Rob went deer hunting with Grandpa and Uncle Matt (which he was successful at).

Festival of Trees.

Olivia next to one of the trees. She was enchanted with the lights on all of the trees. Mackenzie enjoyed looking at the trees also, but I think that she enjoyed the cookies and hot chocolate best of all.

Mackenzie was able to play with her cousin Rory at the baby shower and then again on Thanksgiving day. The two of them got along great and we are looking forward to the next time they can play together.

Olivia with Great-Grandma

Mackenzie really enjoyed bowling with Uncle Matt, Aunt Angela, Grandma, Grandpa, Mom and Dad. She had a great teacher in Uncle Matt and Aunt Angela who both really like to bowl.

Mackenzie and Uncle Matt

Olivia was a little to young to bowl but she enjoyed watching all of the action around her. Here she is sitting with Grandma Judy.

Olivia loves her Aunt Angela just Mackenzie does. The next time we see Aunt Angela and Uncle Matt they will be parents and Olivia will have a new cousin to play with.

Since
Grandma and Grandpa live on 40 acres it provided Rob and Mackenzie with the prefect opportunity to ride on Grandpa's four wheeler. After they were done Rob and I went for a ride around the property. It was a lot of fun and I wish we would have had a four wheeler when I was growing up.

Before we caught the plane back to Alaska we stopped by the
cemetery to see Great-Grandpa's grave. He is missed and I look forward to sharing my memories of him with Mackenzie and Olivia.

Mackenzie and Olivia loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa. We are lucky to be surrounded by such a loving a great family.
